Joanna Krupa Biography

Joanna Krupa was born on April 23, 1979 in Warsaw, Poland. At age 5, her family moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she grew up with younger sister Marta. Joanna’s career began when she was in her early 20s, landing cameo roles on movies such as the 2001 comedy “Legally Blonde” and sci-fi adventure “Planet of the Apes.” Krupa then worked as a dancer for “The Man Show” from 2002 to 2003.

Other credits of Joanna Krupa on the big screen include movies such as “No Shoes, No Mercy,” 2004 film “Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon,” “Mercenary,” “The Dog Problem,” “Scary Movie 4,” “Ripple Effect” and “Skinner Box.” She also appeared on various TV shows, such as “Las Vegas,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Superstars” and “Million Dollar Challenge.”

Aside from acting, Joanna Krupa is a successful model. She has graced the covers of magazines such as Stuff, Teeze, Steppin’ Out, ENVY, Personal, Inside Sport, Maxim, FHM, and Playboy. She is a lingerie model for “Frederick’s of Hollywood” and has been featured as a Howard TV model of the month in 2007. Joanna Krupa is also a favorite of Maxim’s ‘best’ lists – She was voted on German Maxim’s ‘Model of the Year’ in 2004 and 2005, has been named the ‘Sexiest Swimsuit Model in the World,’ and has appeared on the magazine’s Hot 100 list in 2005 at #78, in 2006 at #61, and in 2007 at #66.

In 2009, Joanna Krupa became a household name when she won a spot on the 9th season of “Dancing with the Stars.” With one-time champion Derek Hough as a dancing partner and ballet experience, Joanna Krupa competed for nine weeks, before being eliminated and finishing at 4th place.

Joanna, who has two dogs named Jezzabelle and Mickey, is a spokesperson for PETA. She has been featured in several PETA advertisements, usually against wearing of fur.

Joanna Krupa is engaged to Romain Zago, the owner of Mynt Lounge.
